Personality Traits While I’ve lost too many friends and I’m slow to make new ones. I’m also full of inspiring and cautionary tales from my military experience for almost every combat situation.
Ideals We serve the greater good. Our lot is to lay down our lives in the defense of others.
Bonds I failed my men and refuse to allow myself to fail a comrade ever again.
Flaws I made a terrible mistake in battle that cost the lives of my patrol and would do anything to keep that secret.
“Lukhas” is the only son of a tiefling farmer, whose wife died in childbirth. Raising his son with all his love and compassion, the farmer knew that he could never provide his son with
the life he deserved.
When Lukhas came of age, his father sent him to serve the kingdom. Lukhas became a soldier in the royal army, and quickly worked his way up through the ranks. He showed himself to be a strong, charismatic leader, and soon made Sergeant. He was assigned a squad in the garrison protecting the mountainous border. Lukhas’s squad soon showed itself to be adept at hunting down the bandits that lurked within the mountain valleys and caves.
While on patrol one day, Lukhas and his men were ambushed by a terrible beast. Lukhas, leading his squad, was struck first. The blow tore off his left horn, and scarred his face and chest, knocking him unconscious. He was later found half-frozen in the mountain snow, and was returned to the garrison to recover.
Upon awakening, he learned his entire squad had been slaughtered, and he was the only survivor. Grief-stricken at the loss of his brothers-inarms, Lukhas left military service to pursue a life alone, searching for the creature that killed his men, and attempting to find a way to make amends for the slaughter that he holds himself responsible for.
Lukhas is a direct descendant of the 17th prince-heir to the Turathi empire. He is now roughly 9000th in line to a nonexistent throne.
